Welcome to Tremains Junior School / Croeso i Ysgol iau Tremaen.

Our school is semi-open plan, and is organised to accommodate ten classes in shared teaching areas. Within these areas there are rooms available for quiet study and class discussion. We anticipate a total school population in 2005/6 of 250.

As a school we aim to celebrate achievements. We look for quality in all our activities so that our children become confident, well-behaved individuals who are able to work co-operatively as well as independently.

As important influences on our children, we believe in an active partnership between school, parents, teachers and community. Since our official opening in 1985 our school has been the recipient of various awards.

In 1992, 1997 and 2000 we gained the prestigious Schools Curriculum Award. We are an Investor's in People establishment and believe that everyone in our school is valued and contributes to our success.

As part of this partnership with the community our Governing body play an important and supportive role. The Governors' Annual Report to Parents has received numerous Times Educational Supplement awards, we are currently moving this forward and this year we aim to have information on disk available for parents.
